I am seven months pregnant with my sixth child and I am happy to say this will be my last child. Kudos to those who have more, and kudos to those who knew their family was complete with less. Pregnancy after 40 is different than in your twenties, and teenage sons are embarrassed by big pregnant bellies. Around Thanksgiving I felt like I was cooking a turkey. Every night my bellybutton would poke out like a turkey timer, and it usually meant that I was physically spent for the day. I do a little better nowadays because I workout 5 days a week. I couldn't start working out until the second week in November, around week 22 or 23 because I suffer from hyperemesis gravidarum until week 21, and that is the main reason for this entry. Hopefully my experience suffering for over a year and a half can help some others out there. I will try to finish this post soon even though number 6 is now 2.

Help in seeing the positive?

Mother's day came and went and I wonder if I had a better day than I think I did.  I'm still trying to view the gift from my husband in a positive light, but haven't quite gotten there.  I'm not entirely sure he was thinking of me when he bought it.  No it wasn't a gun, or a bowling ball, I think I would have appreciated them more.  He bought a new dresser and mirror for our bedroom.  I think I am just feeling displaced, because he moved one of my bookshelves to move my old dresser and then stuck my art I had over my dresser in the bathroom.  I don't like the new arrangement.  I don't think I will even be using the new dresser, not enough drawers.  I feel like for mother's day I got a $250 bill and then a lecture on not helping enough around the house.  It probably didn't help that I spent the weekend camping with 4 of my children without my dear old hubby and then he leaves tonight to go out of town for the week.  I could really use some help putting a cheerful spin on my Mother's Day.  Right now I am feeling unappreciated, unpampered, invisible, and like a selfish biotch.  The highlight of my day was a talk given by a youth speaker in our sacrament meeting and the flower and flower hanger my mom, who is the greatest mom in the world, gave me.  Help me not be that complaining, whining, wife.

CHAOS Reigns

Another day, another mess, another reason to procrastinate.  I need to get my laundry done and pack, and I have sick kids.  Now I am up here blogging instead of doing anything else.  On flylady, CHAOS stands for Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome, which I have, but I'm too the point where I don't care.  So if you want to meet a crazy lady and see a home that will make you feel tons better about your house-keeping skills, please come over.  Or ask for pictures, I actually took some of my terribly messy house.  Well, I got a poopy diaper to change.  So I'll blog at you later.
